FxDiff Update – Custom Tick Range and Improved Visuals
BASQ Audio just released a new version of their plugin analyzer called FxDiff. It’s now at version 1.2.0 and has some cool new features and improvements.
One of the most significant additions is something called Hammerstein Analysis Mode. This lets you see how much harmonic distortion a plugin is causing by figuring out its Hammerstein model parameters. In other words, it helps you understand how the plugin might change the sound in ways that aren’t always obvious.
The graphs in FxDiff are now easier to read, too. They’ve made the visuals more evident and added legends to help you understand what you’re looking at. You can also customize the spectrum analyzer’s tick range now, giving you more control over how the data is displayed.
Another handy feature is that you can see the Y-values when you hover your mouse over points on the graph. This makes it easy to get precise readings without any extra effort.
Of course, they’ve also made some general performance improvements and fixed some bugs. Overall, it seems like a solid update that makes FxDiff even more helpful in analyzing and understanding audio plugins.
