Acustica Audio Launches Thing Synth Plugin
Acustica Audio just released an exciting new synthesizer called Thing. This is their first synth plugin, and it’s based on the famous Roland Jupiter 8. After making effects plugins for years, they’re now branching out into instruments with a new line called “Marea.”
The company created special tech for this called MUST (Modular Unified Synthesis Technology) to power their new instruments. They made two different versions of Thing. The bigger version, called Thing 8, has eight voices and works just like the Jupiter-8. It has lots of cool parts to shape the sound, like two sound makers, filters, and tools to make the sounds move and change.
The smaller version, Thing 5, is easier to use. It has five voices and keeps the main sound of the Jupiter-8 but makes it simpler to work with. Both versions have some new tricks that weren’t in the old Jupiter-8. Users can now control lower sounds, make wider stereo effects, and even make the synth sound older if they want to.
Thing comes with effects borrowed from Acustica’s other plugins, and it has more than 500 ready-to-use sounds. The best part is that it won’t make your computer work too hard. This new synth brings together the old-school charm of the Jupiter-8 with some really useful new features.
