Benefield, Pyfrom rise in Brown & Riding, Starwind
Brown & Riding hired Wes Benefield to lead its professional liability operations across America. The Fort Worth executive joined the brokerage last year after working more than 10 years in management insurance for retailers, carriers, and wholesale distributors. He became a principal this year and will help agents expand business while maintaining insurer relationships.
Starwind Specialty Insurance Services made Charles Pyfrom executive vice president for sales and distribution at its cannabis unit. The CRC Group subsidiary hired him from a managing general underwriter, where he served as chief marketing officer. Pyfrom will guide national sales strategy and build broker networks for companies that sell legal marijuana, CBD, and hemp products.
