Daveed Diggs and his exciting infusion group, clipping., have released a trendy new song called “Keep Pushing.” The song showcases Diggs’ traditional Bay Area style with an experimental production that features a catchy synth line. At the end of the track, the synth line transforms into a beautiful classical piece. “Keep Pushing” is a great starting point for new fans as the group gains mainstream popularity. Diggs has had a successful year in film, including his series and an upcoming role in the thriller “I Want Your Sex.” His series “Blindspotting” and “Snowpiecers” ended in 2024 to critical acclaim.
Diggs joined clipping. 2010, they brought his fierce lyricism to the group’s bold compositions. They released their debut mixtape, “midcity,” in 2013 without much expectation, but it quickly gained popularity and led to them being signed by Sub Pop. Their official debut album followed in 2014, along with the “Wriggle EP” and “Splendor & Misery.” The group even received a nomination for “Best Dramatic Presentation (Short Form)” at the 2017 Huge Awards.
“Run It” is the first single from clipping.’s anticipated 2025 album, which blends hip-hop and cyberpunk. The group sticks to certain stylistic limitations in this new album, showcasing more of their experimental side. They used unique production techniques like hitting bottles and breaking bricks. Diggs has also landed a series regular role in Season 5 of “The Boys,” joining the cast of superheroes for the show’s final season. Additionally, the Tony Awards winner is producing a docuseries about Lafayette College.
