GS DSP Launches MagicFilter Audio Plugin
GS DSP released a new audio plugin called MagicFilter. It’s a spectral filter and equalizer with a built-in modulation system. This plugin lets users shape and filter their audio using curves, similar to how a regular EQ works but offers way more creative options. The modulation system is powerful, allowing for dynamic, evolving filter shapes and movements that aren’t impossible with traditional plugins. MagicFilter opens up a whole new level of sonic creativity.
Users can easily apply the effect to specific frequencies or frequency ranges, mixing, modulating, and spreading them to create unique spectral transformations. These can range from organic, pumping filter sounds to extreme effects pushing the boundaries.
While analog filters are limited by hardware, MagicFilter’s digital spectral environment allows for much more complex and intricate filter curves. This means users can design highly customized, non-linear filter shapes and dynamic movements beyond what’s possible with conventional analog EQs. It offers a level of sound design flexibility that hasn’t been seen before.
The plugin also lets users morph between four different filter curves, giving them dynamic control over evolving soundscapes. There’s a CurveModifier feature, too, which allows for even more manipulation by shifting, inverting, or skewing the curves in stereo. This combination of morphing and modification tools makes creating totally unique filter shapes and movements possible.
Users can quickly adjust the cut and boost amount of their curve for precise control over the sound. MagicFilter also includes a lowpass and highpass filter, so users can fine-tune the overall tonal balance and shape the frequency spectrum exactly how they want it. These streamlined controls make it fast and intuitive to make adjustments while still offering deep flexibility to craft the perfect sound.
