Slate Digital Launches Stellar Echo SD-201 Plugin
Slate Digital recently unveiled its latest product, the Stellar Echo SD-201. This exciting new release aims to capture the essence and nuances of classic tape delay, bringing the same subtle pitch and timing variations and rich harmonic saturation that made tape regeneration so beloved. The Stellar Echo SD-201 allows echoes to evolve in a distinctive manner, seamlessly blending into the mix.
Not only does the Stellar Echo faithfully emulate the sound and functionality of the original hardware, but it also introduces some additional features that enable producers to create effects that were previously impossible to achieve with the original unit. For instance, the plugin offers the entire stereo operation, with ping-pong delay and an adjustable Echo Width control, allowing for more immersive and expansive effects.
In addition to the standard spring reverb, the Stellar Echo SD-201 includes custom plate, chamber, and hall reverbs, each with adjustable decay times, allowing users to craft unique and atmospheric spaces. The plugin also features a Wow & Flutter slider, a Dry Thru Slider, and Clean/Noise switches, all contributing to an enhanced tape emulation experience.
Perhaps most exciting is the ‘Custom’ mode, which introduces a fourth playhead and grants users complete control over output volume, stereo balance, and head position, enabling even greater tonal sculpting possibilities. With the Stellar Echo SD-201, Slate Digital has delivered a powerful and versatile tool to inspire and enhance the creative process for producers and musicians alike.
