Sonora Cinematic Releases Poiesis Cello v2
Sonora Cinematic has improved its cello software. It just released a new version, Poiesis Cello v2. It runs on its own Aria engine in Kontakt Player 7.7 or newer. This new version lets musicians do more with cello sounds.
The new Aria engine first appeared in their other products earlier this year. Now, they’ve added it to the cello software, too. While it uses the same cello recordings as before, the new engine lets musicians be more creative with the sounds.
Musicians can now blend different playing styles together, add sound effects from a large library, change how each part sounds with filters, and even make sounds that change over time using a simple control pad.
The software now has two parts. One helps create flowing, dreamy sounds by mixing two playing styles. The other lets musicians pick different playing styles using keyboard shortcuts or how hard they press the keys.
They’ve also added nearly 100 new sound settings, which give musicians good starting points for creating their own special sounds.
