Sound Magic Updates – Taiko, Neo Loudness and BianZhong
Sound Magic has just released some exciting updates for a few of their popular music software products. Let’s take a quick look at what’s new!
First up is Supreme Drums Taiko. This drum software now works better with the latest MIDI 2.0 devices and MPE controllers. They’ve also made it more stable and efficient, so it should crash less and use less of your computer’s CPU power. Plus, they threw in some other small improvements to make it even better.
Next is Neo Loudness, a tool for making your music sound louder and punchier. The big news here is that it now comes in a surround sound version that supports up to 7.1 channels. That means you can get that big, immersive sound for your movie soundtracks or video game music. They’ve also made it use less CPU and fixed some issues with presets not loading right in Logic Pro X. The peak meters got a nice upgrade too.
Last but not least is BianZhong, a virtual instrument that recreates a traditional Chinese chime. It’s got better MIDI 2.0 support now, and they’ve tweaked the velocity layers to make some notes sound more natural. They also adjusted some key settings and made a bunch of other small changes to improve the overall experience.
