TAG Energy eyes oil production after ISO certification
TAG Energy Nigeria Limited plans to transition from engineering services into petroleum extraction by acquiring production rights across Nigeria and additional African nations within five years. Managing Director Yemi Gbadamosi announced the expansion during a certification ceremony on Tuesday in Lagos, where Bureau Veritas presented the company with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System accreditation, recognizing adherence to international operational protocols.
The certification followed a two-year evaluation process involving comprehensive audits and documentation reviews. Assistant General Manager Peluola Adeniji noted that sister company TAG Lines Nigeria Limited received earlier certification under the 2008 standard for logistics and staffing operations. Bureau Veritas District Chief Executive Jean-Michel Perret stated the credential enhances organizational credibility and demonstrates commitment to standardized procedures.
Gbadamosi indicated the company seeks to support federal efforts to increase national hydrocarbon output by developing proprietary fields. Management is committed to maintaining quality benchmarks through regular internal and external compliance assessments across all business segments.
