Tamron’s new 25-200mm lens packs serious punch
Tamron has released an updated version of its versatile zoom lens for Sony E-mount cameras. The 25-200mm f/2.8-5.6 Di III VXD G2 offers photographers and videographers an expanded focal range compared to the earlier model. The lens is compatible with full-frame Sony mirrorless cameras and features modern autofocus technology.
The compact lens can focus as close as 6.3 inches at its widest setting, achieving nearly half-life-size magnification for detailed shots. An advanced VXD motor drives the autofocus system to deliver sharp images quickly. The all-in-one zoom covers wide-angle through telephoto perspectives in a single lens.
The aperture ranges from f/2.8 to f/5.6 across the zoom range. Tamron designed the lens to balance optical performance with portability for hybrid shooters who capture both stills and video. The company positioned this lens as an affordable option for photographers seeking range and versatility without carrying multiple lenses.
