ValhallaDelay 3.0 Released with New Delay Modes

Valhalla DSP recently announced exciting news for ValhallaDelay owners. The company released version 3.0 of the popular delay plugin, which includes two brand new delay modes: Chrome Tape and Analog. The best part is that this update is free for anyone who owns ValhallaDelay.

The new Analog mode is designed to sound like a Bucket Brigade echo, but it has some modern improvements that make it even better. It uses a companding model like the original BBD mode in ValhallaDelay, but now it has twice the frequency range and half the noise. It also has a new saturation model that makes it sound more like classic BBD units’ thick, rich tones.

Chrome Tape mode is very similar to the original in ValhallaDelay, but the developers made some changes to make it sound even better. They significantly reduced the feedback noise and eliminated the tape splice artifacts that some users didn’t like. This means that Chrome Tape mode doesn’t sound quite as much like an old-school tape delay as the original Tape mode, but it’s perfect for users who love the sound of tape delays but don’t want all the extra noise and artifacts that usually come with them.
