AMD Redstone debuts in Black Ops 7
AMD has launched its new FSR Redstone upscaling framework, with Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 being the first game to implement its ray regeneration feature. The company stated that this technology reconstructs ray tracing detail from sparse data, improving visual clarity while reducing performance costs. Designed for the upcoming Radeon 9000 series, the Redstone architecture also incorporates machine learning for better image quality and more consistent frame rates.
A supporting Adrenalin Edition 25.11.1 driver was also released, adding optimization for the new game and support for the Ryzen 5 7500X3D processor. The driver update additionally addresses two known issues.
