ASUS drops 3000W PSU for extreme AI, RTX builds
ASUS launched its Pro WS Platinum power supply lineup targeting professional workstations that run multiple graphics cards for artificial intelligence development, rendering and scientific computing. The series offers three capacity options at 3000 watts, 2200 watts and 1600 watts to support configurations with several GeForce RTX 5090 or NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 cards.
Each unit carries 80 PLUS Platinum certification and meets ATX 3.1 plus PCIe 5.1 standards. Gold-plated copper connectors reduce heat by as much as 10 degrees Celsius while dual ball-bearing fans and aluminum heat sinks maintain quiet operation. The top 3000-watt version powers as many as four RTX 5090 graphics cards. Japanese capacitors and server-grade engineering extend reliability across the product line.
European buyers pay around $791 for the largest model, $545 for the mid-range option and $422 for the entry version. All three ship through authorized dealers and regional web stores. The manufacturer backs each supply with a 10-year warranty. ASUS suggests pairing these units with its Pro WS TRX50-SAGE WiFi A or WRX90E-SAGE SE motherboards, both designed for AMD Ryzen Threadripper 9000 processors and equipped with multiple PCIe 5.0 x16 slots.
