Ericsson, e& launch second cohort of Excelerate& in UAE
Ericsson and e& have opened enrollment for the second year of Excelerate&, a 12-month program preparing Emirati professionals in 5G networks, cloud infrastructure, and artificial intelligence applications aligned with the UAE Centennial 2071 objectives. The initiative, launched in 2024, provides participants with technical instruction, mentorship opportunities, and business strategy training through combined industry exposure and applied learning modules.
Ali Al Mansoori, group chief people officer at e&, stated the program delivers practical competencies supporting the nation’s knowledge economy development. Petra Schirren, president for Gulf operations at Ericsson Europe, Middle East and Africa, emphasized the curriculum blends structured coursework with hands-on practice from telecommunications practitioners. The first cohort completed training earlier in 2025 with a study visit to Ericsson facilities in Sweden for direct engagement with network innovation teams and technical specialists.
