Borderlands 4 patch boosts PC performance by 10%
Gearbox Software released an update for Borderlands 4 on Wednesday that delivered unannounced performance gains on personal computers. YouTube channel MxBenchmarkPC documented approximately 10 percent frame rate increases at 4K and 1440p display settings after the patch installation. The Nvidia RTX 5080 graphics card reached 59 frames per second at 4K resolution, indicating that further optimization is needed for smooth gameplay.
The October 23 maintenance release addressed stability issues, multiplayer connection errors, and interface refinements across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Developers adjusted late-game balance mechanics and mission progression systems to enhance player experience after the first month of availability. The studio delayed the Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game from its scheduled October launch without announcing a new release date and issued refunds for all advance purchases.
