Call of Duty Black Ops 7 launches with PC optimizations
Activision’s latest first-person shooter arrives for personal computers via multiple digital storefronts on Friday, Nov. 14. Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 supports Battle.net, Steam and Xbox platforms on desktop machines with enhancements from developer Treyarch and optimization partner Beenox.
The release accommodates various display resolutions from standard high definition through ultra-wide monitors and native 4K screens. Technical additions feature AMD FSR 4 upscaling alongside integrated performance testing tools, rapid mouse input sampling and Corsair iCUE RGB lighting synchronization. Configuration menus provide more than 800 distinct adjustment parameters covering visual quality, control schemes and user interface elements. Security protocols mandate TPM 2.0 hardware and Secure Boot activation for anti-cheat protection.
Players can begin downloading content on Sunday, Nov. 10, starting at 9 a.m. Pacific time. Installation demands 116 gigabytes of solid-state drive capacity. Entry-level operation requires AMD Ryzen 5 1400 or Intel Core i5-6600 processors paired with Radeon RX 470 or GeForce GTX 970 graphics adapters. Competitive specifications recommend Ryzen 5 5600X or Core i7-10700K central processors with Radeon RX 9070 XT or GeForce RTX 4080 video cards. Portable gaming devices receive dedicated optimization for handheld displays.
