Dangote Cement named most tax-compliant company in Nigeria for 2025
Nigeria’s tax collection agency has recognized Dangote Cement as the nation’s most compliant major taxpayer for the second consecutive year during ceremonies at the Lagos International Trade Fair. The Federal Inland Revenue Service selected the cement manufacturer following assessments conducted with tax controllers nationwide based on criteria including regulatory adherence, payment timeliness, and professional cooperation.
Mojisola Ogunlade, who oversees tax matters for Dangote Cement, said the distinction validates the company’s emphasis on transparent reporting and punctual compliance. She noted that Dangote Industries remitted over 402 billion naira to government coffers previously, making it the country’s largest contributor. The parent organization’s subsidiaries have adopted global standards for meeting statutory deadlines and eliminating noncompliance costs.
FIRS Taxpayers Service Department Director Lovette Onanuga described the awards ceremony as an opportunity to acknowledge corporations whose sustained collaboration advances national revenue objectives.
