Globe Life earnings surge 38% on strong premiums
Globe Life earned 4.73 dollars per share in the three months that ended on Sept. 30 after underwriting profits jumped 38 percent from one year earlier. Life insurance margins climbed 24 percent to 481.6 million dollars, while health coverage gained 25 percent and reached 108.4 million dollars. Premium collections hit 1.23 billion dollars as life business grew 3 percent and health sales rose 9 percent across the company.
American Income Life produced a 261.1 million dollar life underwriting margin, and Liberty National added 70.3 million dollars to results. Family Heritage health profits surged 49 percent to 50.6 million dollars as agent recruitment increased 9 percent compared with last year. The insurer bought back 840,242 shares at an average price of 134.17 dollars and projects annual operating income between 14.40 dollars and 14.60 dollars per share for 2025.
