iHeartMedia and TikTok launch podcast, radio network
iHeartMedia has formed a partnership with TikTok to establish a podcast network and digital radio station that will showcase content from TikTok creators. The TikTok Podcast Network will feature as many as 25 shows hosted by platform creators and produced in co-branded studios located in Los Angeles, New York and Atlanta. Distribution will occur through iHeartPodcasts and the iHeartRadio application along with other podcast platforms.
TikTok Radio represents another component of the collaboration, combining TikTok creators with iHeartRadio personalities for programming that will broadcast across nationwide radio stations and stream digitally. The station will present music trending on TikTok alongside specialized segments modeled after successful iHeart stations KIIS FM and Z100.
The companies will coordinate live event access for creators at iHeartRadio Music Festival and Jingle Ball while pursuing joint marketing and sponsorship opportunities. This arrangement follows their earlier cooperation on a singing competition for emerging artists.
