Intel’s next Xe3P GPUs may hit desktops as Arc Celestial
Intel may extend its Xe3P graphics architecture beyond integrated chips into standalone gaming cards, according to recent hardware leaks. Information discovered by leaker @GawroskiT reveals two variants of the architecture: LPM for Low Power Media and HPM for High Power Media. These designations suggest performance tiers within a single design rather than separate product lines.
The Xe3P platform was previously expected to serve data centers through Crescent Island GPUs and appear as integrated graphics in Nova Lake processors. The HPM variant could power discrete cards under the Arc Celestial brand, becoming the company’s third gaming graphics generation following Alchemist and Battlemage. Such a move would position Intel to compete more aggressively with AMD and NVIDIA across multiple market segments.
The High Power Media designation suggests robust multimedia features, likely supporting advanced video processing and AI-enhanced tasks. Observers note that the modular Xe design allows Intel to adapt one architecture for laptops, servers and gaming hardware. This approach could unify the company’s graphics development across all product categories. While Intel has not issued official confirmation, the leak supports speculation that Arc Celestial testing is underway and discrete Xe3P cards may arrive following the Battlemage launch.
