KTC drops $281 OLED 280Hz monitor
Chinese manufacturer KTC introduced a 27-inch gaming display priced at $281 through a temporary promotion, making it the least expensive OLED model at 1440p resolution. The G27P6M uses LG’s fourth-generation tandem OLED technology with four RGB layers and supports a 280 Hz refresh rate.
The monitor delivers 335 nits of brightness in standard mode and peaks at 550 nits when displaying high dynamic range content. KTC equipped the display with 99% DCI-P3 color coverage and Delta-E accuracy below 2. The regular retail price is $422, but buyers can purchase the unit for $281 from a Chinese retailer, JD.
The panel provides DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 connections along with USB ports for peripheral devices. KTC added dual 5-watt speakers to the display. Lenovo sells competing OLED monitors at similar price points, while Asus charges more than $1,100 for its 720-hertz ROG display using the same panel generation.
