Mahindra hits 3 lakh EV sales, claims industry first
Mahindra Last Mile Mobility reached a landmark achievement by delivering its 300,000th electric commercial vehicle, becoming the first Indian automaker to hit this figure. The subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra announced the accomplishment on Wednesday while noting that sales of its final 100,000 units occurred within a single year.
The manufacturer’s lineup features the Treo series, Zor Grand, e-Alfa three-wheelers and Mahindra ZEO four-wheeler models that have traveled more than 5 billion kilometers collectively while preventing the release of over 185 kilotonnes of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. This reduction equals the environmental benefit of planting approximately 4.3 million trees. Managing Director and CEO Suman Mishra said the company produces vehicles that support earning opportunities while building a cleaner environment through innovation-focused designs accessible to all customers.
Recent product introductions feature the Treo Plus sheet metal version, e-Alfa Plus, Zor Grand Range Plus and an updated ZEO model. The company offers its UDAY NXT program, providing driver accident insurance coverage worth 2 million rupees along with financial guidance services. A redesigned NEMO platform enables operators and managers to supervise fleets remotely through iOS, Android and web applications with features for tracking multiple vehicles, locating charging stations and requesting roadside help.
