ONDC names Rohit Lohia chief business officer
The Open Network for Digital Commerce hired Rohit Lohia as chief business officer on Thursday. Lohia spent years in fintech and payments as a senior vice president at Paytm before joining the government-supported online marketplace platform. He helped start companies in digital commerce and previously worked at Boston Consulting Group.
Acting chief executive Vibhor Jain said Lohia understands how to build modern digital businesses and will help small merchants compete more effectively. The network was created in December 2021 under the Commerce Ministry to expand online retail access across India. Founder T Koshy left his position in April after the platform processed more than 200 million transactions in less than three years.
