Bangladesh, China push green RMG at Dhaka expo
A three-day textile trade show opened on Thursday at the International Convention City Bashundhara to promote environmental practices in Bangladesh’s garment manufacturing. Chinese Ambassador Yao Wen said his government supports efforts to transform the clothing industry by 2028 through partnerships with local firms. The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association joined Shanghai Climate Week as a strategic partners for the event organized by Savor International Limited.
Companies from both countries displayed sustainable production technologies and green innovations at the exhibition. Vice President Mizanur Rahman from the manufacturers association and Chinese Enterprises Association President Han Kun attended the ceremony. Officials said the gathering would strengthen cooperation between the two nations on environmentally responsible industrial methods. The show runs through Saturday at the convention center in Dhaka.
