Sony’s music division sees strong Q3 growth with streaming boost
Sony’s music operations generated $2.89 billion during the third quarter of 2025, marking a 13.3 percent annual increase. The recorded music division produced $2.18 billion with streaming revenues climbing 11.7 percent to $1.42 billion, while physical sales reached $184.9 million. Music publishing delivered $718 million in revenues, with streaming income surging 24.8 percent to approximately $442 million.
The top-performing recorded music projects included releases from Bruce Springsteen, SZA, Tyler the Creator, Bad Bunny, and Tate McRae. Sony’s music division achieved an operating income of $783 million with a 21.3 percent margin, while adjusted OIBDA totaled $949 million, representing a 25.8 percent margin for the quarter ending September 2025.
