Tyler crowned Apple Music king in 2025
Apple Music has named Tyler, The Creator its Artist of the Year for 2025. The platform cited the past twelve months as the most commercially successful period of his career, noting that his music accumulated over 4.5 billion minutes of listening time globally. This recognition followed the release of two full-length projects, CHROMAKOPIA and DON’T TAP THE GLASS, with the latter reaching the top of the service’s charts in more than 55 countries.
His year also included his largest tour to date and headline performances at major US festivals like Governors Ball and Lollapalooza. Apple Music’s Global Creative Director Zane Lowe praised Tyler for his creative risk-taking and inspirational impact. The artist expressed gratitude for the award, stating that 2025 had been the most significant year of his professional life.
Beyond music, Tyler is preparing for his feature-film debut in Marty Supreme. He concludes the year with five Grammy nominations for his recent album projects.
