Versilian Studios has released The Recorder, a recorder library for Kontakt Player 7.6.1 or later. The library offers 27 instruments with 15 ways to play them. It also includes an extended legato feature with six presets and controls.

They recorded the sounds using five microphones, including omni SDCs and ribbon mics. This gives the library a flexible and clean tone that’s great for many types of music, such as Baroque, Renaissance, classical, world, and film music.

The Recorder uses their new VISAGE 3 engine with advanced controls. It also has a ‘MIRAGE FX’ control panel that organizes Kontakt FX. For those interested, a free “Community Edition” in SFZ format includes six instruments.

The library contains 37,500 unique samples and 187,600 files. It’s in lossless NCW format and takes up 86 GB of space.
