Adani Enterprises profit soars 84 percent, rights issue set
The flagship entity of the Adani conglomerate announced that after-tax income surged 84 percent during the three months ending in September, reaching 3,199 crore rupees. Adani Enterprises Ltd directors approved a partially paid rights offering worth 25,000 crore rupees to bolster financial resources for upcoming business ventures.
Operating earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization totaled 7,688 crore rupees across the six months, with emerging infrastructure operations generating 5,470 crore rupees and representing 71 percent of the total. Airport operations saw earnings climb 51 percent from a year earlier to 2,157 crore rupees, with the division achieving a quarterly pace exceeding 1,000 crore rupees. The company opened its Navi Mumbai International Airport facility on Oct. 8 ahead of planned service beginning later this fiscal year.
Chairman Gautam Adani said the group continues strengthening its position as an incubator for transformative infrastructure and energy enterprises. Solar panel shipments maintained a pace of 1 gigawatt each quarter as domestic deliveries grew 43 percent during the first half. Construction work on an additional 6 gigawatts of manufacturing capacity remains on schedule.
