Pensioners fault PTAD over delayed payments
The Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate addressed complaints from federal pensioners about payment delays and pension calculations. Samson from Ondo State said he missed his monthly payment, but officials confirmed the funds reached his account. Michael requested help with his gratuity after receiving an April increase, while Samuel questioned why his pension dropped from 17,000 naira to 9,000 naira monthly.
The agency told Samuel his records showed correct payments and advised him to contact state authorities about retirement benefits dating to 1993. Osuwa received less than his colleagues at the same grade level, but officials said his documents justified the lower amount. Aderemi reported missed follow-up calls after providing account information, while Rufiana complained about two years of incorrect arrears. The directorate asked pensioners to submit verification records and bank statements through email for investigation.
