AI music hits 34 percent of daily Deezer uploads
Deezer reports that fully artificial intelligence-generated music represents 34 percent of daily track deliveries to the French streaming platform, which currently receives more than 50,000 such recordings each day. The figure shows substantial growth from earlier measurements and suggests the service handles approximately 147,000 total daily uploads. The platform detects fraudulent streaming activity in as much as 70 percent of plays for completely AI-generated content and excludes those streams from royalty distributions.
Research commissioned by Deezer across eight nations with 9,000 participants revealed that 97 percent of listeners could not distinguish between synthetic and human-created tracks during blind testing. Strong majorities favor transparency requirements, with 80 percent supporting clear labeling of AI-generated material and 73 percent believing training models on copyrighted works without artist consent constitutes unethical practice. The platform removes all fully synthetic tracks from algorithmic recommendations and editorial playlists.
