AMD quietly rolls out Ryzen 10 and 100 series
AMD launched rebadged mobile processors from older chip families on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2025. The company released the Ryzen 10 series based on the Zen 2 architecture and the Ryzen 100 series based on the Zen 3+ architecture, with specifications matching those of previous releases.
The Ryzen 10 lineup features four processors that mirror the Ryzen 7000HS/U series. The Ryzen 5 40 matches the Ryzen 5 7520U, while the Ryzen 3 30 corresponds to the Ryzen 3 7320U. Two Athlon models complete the group with identical specs to their 7000-series counterparts.
The Ryzen 100 series offers five processors equivalent to Rembrandt R chips from the Ryzen 7000 family. The Ryzen 7 170 duplicates the Ryzen 7 7735HS specifications, and four additional models replicate other 7000-series chips. AMD adopted two-digit and three-digit naming formats for these product lines.
These chips will appear in new laptops soon and replace the original models. Intel previously used similar rebranding strategies with its Alder Lake processors.
