Anno 117 reigns, smashes Ubisoft sales marks
Ubisoft has announced that Anno 117: Pax Romana has achieved the most successful launch in the franchise’s 25-year history, surpassing all internal sales projections. Following its release, the title quickly rose to the second-highest position on Steam and secured top-three chart placements in major markets like the United States, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom.
The developer is now prioritizing post-launch support, with an initial focus on resolving multiplayer stability and desynchronization problems. A PC hotfix has already been released, and a console patch is forthcoming. A second, more substantial update is planned for early December to further improve game stability.
Ubisoft also confirmed a season pass for Anno 117, which will include three downloadable content expansions. This long-term content strategy mirrors the model previously used for Anno 1800, indicating the company’s commitment to supporting the title as a live platform.
