Lagos hosts NEPAD AfCFTA business forum
Business leaders will gather on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Eko Hotels in Lagos to discuss private sector engagement with the African Continental Free Trade Area. The NEPAD Business Group Nigeria organized the forum to address trade expansion and industrial growth across the continent amid international economic uncertainty. Participants from government offices, banks, commerce associations and companies will examine ways to boost cross-border commerce and strengthen regional cooperation.
Chairman Bashorun J. K. Randle said private enterprise drives African transformation and the meeting aims to develop practical approaches for economic stability and shared prosperity. Attendees will focus on policy coordination, investment attraction and supply chain development to support continental integration goals. The forum outcomes will shape trade policy recommendations and contribute to the Agenda 2063 vision for African development.
