SSD self-destructs on demand, warranty gone
Team Group has introduced the T-CREATE EXPERT P35S, a portable solid-state drive featuring a unique physical data destruction mechanism. The device offers transfer speeds up to 1,000 MB/s via a USB 3.2 Gen 2 connection and is available in capacities ranging from 256 GB to 2 TB. Its defining security element is a two-stage push-button that, when activated, physically destroys the internal NAND flash memory, rendering data unrecoverable.
This hardware-based destruction process is irreversible and immediately voids the product’s one-year warranty. The company designed the drive for users in fields requiring absolute data security, such as government or legal sectors, where guaranteed media end-of-life is essential. The compact storage device measures 90 mm by 40 mm by 18 mm.
