Apple preps for big store display shakeup on November 11
Apple retail locations are gearing up for an after-hours transformation on the evening of November 11, according to industry analyst Mark Gurman. Staff members will modify store displays following closing time, a practice the tech company routinely follows when introducing new hardware or preparing for peak shopping periods.
The purpose behind these modifications remains unclear. Gurman suggests two potential explanations for the scheduled overnight work. The changes could simply represent seasonal adjustments before holiday shopping begins. Alternatively, they might signal approaching product releases, particularly since inventory for Apple TV devices and HomePod mini speakers has dropped significantly. Such depletion typically occurs before major product updates. Both items are expected to receive upgrades featuring newer processors and proprietary wireless technology developed by the company.
However, expectations for new releases remain tempered. Chief executive Tim Cook stated during last week’s financial results announcement that few products are scheduled for release during the remainder of 2025. Gurman anticipates the company will wait until early 2026 to launch MacBook Pro models equipped with M5 Pro and M5 Max processors.
