MSI’s B760MPOWER brings killer OC features for under $200
MSI plans to release another motherboard in its performance-focused MPOWER lineup with the B760MPOWER, a micro-ATX board designed for Intel’s LGA 1700 processor socket. The board supports three generations of Intel chips and includes an external base clock generator for overclocking enthusiasts seeking cost-effective options below $200.
The micro-ATX design accommodates two memory slots capable of handling DDR5 modules up to 128 gigabytes with speeds exceeding 8,000 megatransfers per second. Dual eight-pin power connectors supply electricity to the processor, while expansion options include one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, one PCIe 4.0 x4 slot, and one PCIe 3.0 x1 slot. Storage connectivity features two M.2 Gen4 x4 slots and six SATA III ports.
Rear panel connections provide one USB port at 20 gigabits per second in Type-C format, four USB ports at 10 gigabits per second, two USB ports at five gigabits per second, and eight USB 2.0 ports. Network connectivity comes through a 2.5-gigabit Ethernet port, while audio uses an eight-channel jack configuration. One M.2 slot receives thermal protection from an M.2 Shield Frozr heatsink, and the voltage regulation modules sit beneath an extended heatsink assembly. Release details remain pending.
