Apple’s iPhone 17 repairs cost a fortune
Apple has released spare parts for its iPhone 17 lineup through its Self-Service Repair Store, following the recent publication of model-specific repair manuals. The move supports modest improvements in iFixit’s repairability scores for the new devices.
Pricing varies by model. The base iPhone 17 battery costs $99, while the iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max batteries each cost $119. Back glass replacements are $159 across all models, and front cameras are uniformly priced at $199. Display replacements cost $329 for every model except the iPhone 17 Pro Max, which is $379. Enclosures with batteries range from $236 for the base iPhone 17 to $299 for the Air and Pro models.
