Beatport Tickets links dance music store to live shows in EU, UK
Beatport will connect its digital music marketplace to live event ticket sales through a new service focused on electronic dance music. The platform launched Thursday with European ticketing provider Weeztix and targets labels, promoters and venues across the United Kingdom and European Union. Event organizers can sell tickets through Beatportal while attaching custom playlists that preview the show’s music.
The company plans to bring the ticketing system to American organizers within months and add event listings to its main store by year’s end. Artist and label profile pages will display upcoming performances with direct ticket purchase links by 2026. Chief Revenue Officer Helen Sartory said the service bridges digital and live experiences while helping artists reach broader audiences and supporting independent promoters who often lack sophisticated ticketing tools.
Beatport reaches 40 million annual users through its store, mobile app and news platform since starting in 2004 as an electronic music retailer. The company will utilize Weeztix technology for processing standard ticket sales, accommodation packages, merchandise, and to provide promoter analytics. This expansion follows previous launches of streaming services, DJ software and partnerships with Twitch and Spotify.
