Cedi dips to GHS12.60 per dollar in Ghana
The cedi weakened against the dollar on Thursday, October 23, 2025, with banks buying at 10.61 cedis and selling at 11.36 cedis. Exchange bureaus purchased dollars at 12.10 cedis and sold them at 12.60 cedis, according to data from Cedirates.com. The Bank of Ghana interbank market set the buying rate at 10.71 cedis and the selling rate at 10.73 cedis.
The pound traded at 14.02 cedis for purchases and 15.07 cedis for sales at currency offices, while the central bank quoted 14.46 cedis. Exchange bureaus bought euros at 12.25 cedis and sold them at 13.11 cedis compared with the interbank rate of 12.49 cedis. Money transfer services LemFi and Taptap Send offered dollar rates of 10.65 and 10.70 cedis for remittances from the US or the UK.
The pound converted at 14.38 cedis through LemFi and 14.24 cedis via Taptap Send for transfers from those regions. Euro remittances reached 12.35 cedis with Taptap Send and 12.48 cedis through LemFi. Digital payments for streaming platforms processed through Visa and Mastercard applied an 11.61 cedi exchange rate.
