Chad appoints new tech leaders, including AI director, to boost digital transformation
Chad’s telecommunications ministry installed new technical managers on Friday following appointments under a presidential decree issued on October 21. Inspector General Kemkil Adangran Benoit presided over the ceremony and urged officials to demonstrate professionalism and dedication.
The government created a General Directorate for Artificial Intelligence led by Zara Ahmed Sedick, who previously directed technology oversight at the ministry. The restructuring reflects efforts to advance digital systems and emerging technologies across the nation.
Officials completed formal handovers between outgoing and incoming leadership at the conference room gathering. The changes aim to strengthen institutional capacity in telecommunications infrastructure and digital innovation while supporting modernization goals.
