China Town opens new Freedom City store with big giveaway
A retail chain has expanded its footprint with a 10,000-square-foot location at Freedom City shopping center near Entebbe Highway, bringing affordable merchandise to residents across multiple neighborhoods.
China Town International held celebrations for the outlet serving communities from Katwe through Najjanakumbi and surrounding districts. Marketing and Public Relations Manager Agnes Maggimbi said the branch aims to deliver quality merchandise and service at competitive rates within a single convenient location. The company emphasized its commitment to stocking items produced domestically by Ugandan manufacturers.
Early shoppers who spent more than 200,000 shillings qualified for prize drawings that awarded televisions, microwaves and a motorcycle. Musician Khalifa Aganaga performed during launch festivities. Company representatives stated the expansion reflects their strategy to eliminate economic barriers while providing widespread access to diverse product selections across the metro area.
