Dan Rosen handed mega music power across Asia
Warner Music Group has expanded Dan Rosen’s responsibilities to include oversight of recorded music operations across six Southeast Asian nations: Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. Rosen will maintain his existing duties managing both recorded music and publishing for Australia and New Zealand.
The executive assumes the title of President of Warner Music Australasia & Southeast Asia and will report to Lo Ting-Fai, who serves as President for Warner Music APAC. His appointment was announced following his promotion to lead both recording and publishing divisions in Australasia on November of last year. The combined territories under his leadership encompass more than 550 million people, with the company noting that several of its major artists draw approximately one-third of their global streaming numbers from this geographic area.
Warner Music emphasized its strategy to increase investment in regional talent while expanding partnerships with local industry figures. The company pointed to Vietnamese artist Vũ as an example of its cross-regional promotional efforts, noting his upcoming Australian tour represents the largest ever undertaken by a Vietnamese performer in that country. Warner Chappell Music’s Asian operations will continue under Arica Ng’s direction.
