Don’t Nod reels as Netflix deal offers lifeline
French game studio DON’T NOD reported half-year revenue of 13.9 million euros, down 5 percent from 2025’s first six months, after its recent title Lost Records: Bloom & Rage missed sales targets. The Paris developer signed an agreement with Netflix to create a narrative game based on an undisclosed franchise at its Montreal location.
The company released The Lonesome Guild for PC and consoles on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2025, following disappointing performances from Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden and Jusant in 2024. Netflix will publish the upcoming project despite closing its Squid Game: Unleashed studio at Boss Fight Entertainment earlier this month.
The streaming service’s recent shutdown raises questions about its commitment to game development. DON’T NOD hopes the Netflix partnership will strengthen its financial position as narrative-focused titles from other studios gain traction with players.
