e& reports 60% profit surge, scales 5G and AI ecosystem
A telecommunications company in the United Arab Emirates reported profits of 8.8 billion dirhams for the first six months of 2025, a jump of more than 60 percent from the previous year. The firm known as e& brought in revenue of 34.9 billion dirhams between January and June, which represents a 23 percent increase from 2024.
The operator built a data center platform with Amazon Web Services and the government cybersecurity agency. Officials expect the system to add more than 181 billion dollars to the digital economy by 2033. The company extended fiber optic cables to 99.5 percent of homes and delivered specialized fifth-generation wireless services to factories and shipping terminals.
The business expanded its payment systems and entertainment platforms for individual customers. Corporate clients gained access to artificial intelligence tools running at network edges that support automated manufacturing processes. The infrastructure investments support the country’s plan to become a regional technology hub.
