FCMB adds investment feature to mobile app
First City Monument Bank has added mutual fund investment capabilities to its mobile application. The FCMB Group subsidiary enables customers to open investment accounts and purchase funds managed by FCMB Asset Management through the app.
The feature provides access to four mutual fund options. These consist of the Legacy Money Market Fund, Legacy Equity Fund, Legacy Debt Fund and Legacy USD Bond Fund, which address various investor goals from liquidity needs to capital growth.
Managing Director Yemisi Edun said the bank is constructing a connected financial ecosystem. The platform combines banking, payments and investments within a single application to serve customer needs.
Chief Executive Officer James Ilori of FCMB Asset Management Limited said the company wants to make wealth creation accessible. The mobile integration allows users to start investing from anywhere. Customers can access the updated FCMB Mobile App through the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
