Glovo opens Abuja hub to boost digital trust
Glovo has established a customer support facility in Abuja, combining artificial intelligence with human operators to enhance reliability across Nigeria’s quick commerce sector. General Manager Lamide Akinola stated the platform integrates technology with local knowledge while maintaining 24-hour operations through satellite connections and backup power systems including solar installations that prevent service interruptions for customers, delivery personnel and merchants.
The hub employs more than 100 trained professionals organized into specialized support divisions addressing refunds, rider assistance and vendor relations, achieving 90 percent response rates within 30 seconds since operations began earlier this year. Staff members use neighborhood familiarity to resolve navigation challenges in areas with unmapped addresses while receiving training in business analysis, fraud prevention and project management that strengthens workforce development in the digital services economy.
