Kioxia launches fast EXCERIA G3 microSD cards
Kioxia will release two microSD card models on Saturday, October 25: the EXCERIA PLUS G3 and EXCERIA G3, offering improved transfer speeds for video recording and mobile storage. The EXCERIA PLUS G3 reaches 210 megabytes per second for reads and 150 megabytes per second for writes when paired with specific card readers. Both products support 4K video capture and meet U3, V30, C10, and A2 performance standards for cameras and smartphones.
Storage options span from 32 gigabytes to 512 gigabytes at launch. The company plans to add one-terabyte versions before the end of 2025. The EXCERIA G3 delivers 160 megabytes per second read speeds at a lower price point than its premium counterpart. Transfer times are half those of the previous G2 generation across both card lines.
