Goyal courts CEOs in Berlin talks
India’s Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal conducted business meetings with German corporate executives and Luxembourg officials to strengthen economic partnerships. The minister engaged with leaders from Mercedes-Benz, Infineon Technologies, and Schaeffler AG to discuss investment prospects in automotive manufacturing, semiconductor production, and artificial intelligence. Conversations with RENK GmbH and Herrenknecht AG addressed defense sector cooperation and infrastructure development through technology transfers and expanded operations.
Goyal also met with ENERTRAG representatives to discuss renewable energy collaboration as India advances toward its sustainability targets. The minister discussed trade enhancement opportunities with Luxembourg’s Deputy Prime Minister Xavier Bettel. These Berlin meetings aimed to increase bilateral commerce and attract foreign capital into Indian markets. German companies expressed interest in expanding their presence across multiple sectors within India’s growing economy.
