ITC Vegas draws 9000 to Mandalay Bay
More than 9,000 insurance professionals and 762 sponsors gathered in Las Vegas for InsureTech Connect 2025 last week at Mandalay Bay. The three-day event featured discussions on climate risk, cyber threats, artificial intelligence, and system modernization as the sector moves toward digital advancement while managing older infrastructure. Jason Kaminsky of kWh Analytics said conversations revealed how the space evolves significantly each year.
Hardeep Gulati of Duck Creek Technologies called the conference a cornerstone of insurtech vitality where customers and partners meet. Speakers examined how modern risks surpass traditional underwriting methods and stressed the need for carriers to update both systems and approaches. Advanced AI models now refine risk selection and improve pricing accuracy by 3 to 5 percent.
Farah Ismail of WTW emphasized that compliance remains essential while modular transformation permits innovation without regulatory disruption. Panelists identified AI-powered product design as a major opportunity, particularly in commercial lines where coverage flexibility trails personal insurance. The event generated over 42 million potential connections among attendees focused on merging technology with collaboration and industry ambition.
