Lagos sets November 10 deadline for NUPENG on Lekki e-call up compliance
Lagos State has set a November 10 deadline for the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers to ensure its members comply with the Lekki electronic call-up system following a meeting at the Ministry of Transportation headquarters in Ikeja. Transportation Commissioner Oluwaseun Osiyemi criticized persistent violations of the online booking platform, which he said have enabled unauthorized cash payments and improper truck parking along the Lekki Epe corridor.
The commissioner explained that all vehicles must complete validation and obtain authorization before proceeding to designated parking facilities, warning that enforcement actions will begin if union members fail to meet the compliance deadline. Union representatives are committed to educating their membership about the requirements and resolving additional operational concerns identified during discussions. Officials from the call-up system and ministry staff attended the session.
